WOW! Could I be anymore engineerish? I have added to my "essential redneck engineer" skills. I can
1. build fighting positions from scratch
2. Drive a bulldozer*
3. run razor wire
4. recon a sight (look at it and figure out what we need to do)**
5. Run a construction project**
6. Blow things up that need 'splodin.
7. **ALL NEW** Drive and operate a dump truck
* means its not really my job.
** means its actually an officers job
Yeah, sometimes I just love this place. I'd love it a lot more if they'd give me a bunch of ammo and let me go kill the people that need killin. There are too many people that are obviously trying to kill us that we are too scared to go after. Its that whole "we're going home soon" mentality. People are too scared of the risks to do their jobs. Well, I'm not scared. Give me the go ahead and I'll disappear for a few days in the city, and when I get back, there won't be as many bad guys. But, not everyone shares my enthusiasm for punishing the bad guys. I mean, if you don't like us, thats fine. You kill us, now you have to deal with me. And I won't hesitate to pull the trigger again. Not to mention, I actually like most of the people here. How many people can say that. The Iraqis are some of the friendliest people I've met, when they trust you. All you have to do is not be an ass. It ain't that hard. And now its time to go home, with so much left undone. The job is not yet finished. Something tells me I'll be back here.
