Argh! Manic week! But good nonetheless...
Wednesday went to see S*M*A*S*H with Lee in New Cross- dodgy place but it's got a cool little venue call the Amersham Arms. So yeah...first group sucked, second group were wicked, Optimus Club they were called. Kinda like a more spazzed out Fugazi. Mmmm.....anyway third group played, who also sucked, the drummer played drums like a chicken. Nuff said. Oh yeah! The 80's Matchbox bassist was there and he bought me a drink! Top man! So yeah S*M*A*S*H played, rocked out as per usual, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We also saw a woman there and she looked like a Christmas Tree! We named her Tinsel Tits. We have a song about her too. So yeah, good night all in all!
Thursday...gig! Yes, the Otters played at the Green Room. Loads of people came, including my college cru (two of which played a few songs), and as usual The Otters freaked out and made some wonderful noise. I broke part of the ceiling (oops) but hey, and the landlady complained. Score. So yeah, that was cool!
Friday- shit day at work, followed by good gig at the Green Room. Overdrawn played who were cool, the Boo came on and they were great! A South African band who played some CHOONS! But they split up on they night. Bugger.
Saturday- work 'til 4 then a cocktail party at Cat's. It was wicked! Got pretty drunk, met some REALLY cool girl called Anna from Maine. She rocked! We sat in the garden with a bottle of red wine talking about music, guys, politics, clothes and all sorts. Also got to see old school friends and some new faces so it was cool! Can't be arsed to say much more really! Take care people/person!
