Intriguing - I rather hope he can keep some sort of contact with the other Doctor and that his happiness can feed through into the Mickey's World and the TARDIS.

Not sure if its worth mentioning (since this is fanfic afterall and you can write it however the hell you want!) but Torchwood isn't a secret organisation in Pete's World. It seems to be quite an open and well known group since it's research was mentioned by a newsreader on Rose's phone in "The Rise of the Cybermen" quite offhandly and with no explaination. So... yeah, Torchwood is quite different in Pete's World. A little less militaristic I would assume.

But yeah, another nice addition to the story. I loved the idea of the Doctors speaking to each other telepathically it was so poignant... "Be free..." almost made me well up! Seriously... I think I must be having an emotional day or something, too much fanfic!

I always got the impression that in Pete's world it was more tied up with the government, more official, but I totally didn't catch the newsreader. Though, the CIA is often mentioned on our news, but if you work for them you still can't tell most people what you do exactly. But thanks, that is something to think about.

You're totally right about that, with the CIA. Over here if you even apply to work for MI5 you can't tell people. Yeah I fail, I once applied to work for MI5... not James Bond or anything lol just an office body. Anywho, that's a very good point. But the newsreader was mentioning their research and in Army of Ghosts Jake did say the public found out what they were doing and put a stop to it. So I guess that means at some point they were rather secretive and up to something quite sinister. But I just got the impression that alt!Torchwood post-Doomsday was a much friendlier organisation. Especially considering Rose has been working for them for however many years. I couldn't imagine her sticking around if they were as mental as Torchwood One back in Doomsday. I guess both versions of Torchwood got a make-over of sorts.
