Donna really does go beyond the call of duty for them, doesn't she? Torchwood really needs to start paying her if the Doctor's going to start dragging her into dozens of covert operations...

...but more than that, I really would like to see her family realize how bloody marvelous she is.

This is such a fabulous story; it's so (comparitively) rare to find such long fics that center on an intricate plot.

Well, neither the Doctor nor Rose work for Torchwood either. They just do it cuz they're them and they kind of can't help themselves.

Somehow I appear to have assumed that their day jobs were covers for said employment.

Pete Tyler got sacked from Torchwood in the One True Free Life and Rose stopped working for them as well at that time. So, no covers. The Doctor really does work on cars, Rose really does toil at Vitex.

Mainly just cuz it's sort of become a bit of a post-JE fic cliche, that Rose stays at Torchwood and the Doctor goes to work there. I wanted to rule that out for myself and see where it took me.

*sigh* I know, the blue suit. But this whole fic started with me thinking about him putting the suit back on and...doing some...stuff that I can't tell you about right now.

This whole chapter was fantastic, but I think my favorite bit was the blue suit being a bit too snug. HEE! Sorry, but human!Doctor just tickles me so.

LOL I love how everyone's latching on to that line! Poor human!Doctor, all laid up for a few weeks with his bum leg and now he seems to have put on a couple pounds.

No worries, he'll soon be back to the running, he'll work that right off again. Feel the burn, Doctor.
