Today I'm Fangirling....

Nov 18, 2008 09:16

Today I'm fangirling a bunch of authors on Teaspoon, as we're all gearing up for today's LiveJournal outage (*smacks arm* no really, I can quit any time). I'm going to try my best not to just recreate my rec list (which is in dire need of updating). I suspect a lot of this will be porny as Teaspoon tends to be my go-to place for porn due to its handy search features whereby I can find Ten/Rose PWP with the click of a mouse.

So in the category of authors who you should just go look at everything on their page...

The incomparable lillibet (and I realise I'm not telling anyone anything they don't know already here)
She writes a lot of Nine/Rose which I tend to not read, but Modesty Forbids is both hot and hilarious.

And then there's kalleah (*waves*) and if asked to pic one particular fic from her I'm not sure I really could. I love her thinky-thoughts. Just read everything.

It of course goes without saying that if you haven't explored unfolded73 and fid_gin on Teaspoon, you should not pass GO or collect $200 and do so now.

As for individual stories...

Days Hence by Sunken Standard

This one is still marked not complete, at 44 chapters and apparently stalled. However, it's much more about character development and the indivdual scenes than any over-arching cliffhangery plot, so don't let that dissuade you. A very nice post-JE alt!Ten and Rose Learn Their Way Around Each Other fic.

Shoring Up the Fragments Against the Ruins by Lapetitefurie
I'm such a sucker for the between-the-wars poets.

I think that should be enough to keep us occupied while LiveJournal takes a bath today. I'm going to be off doing field research starting at noon EST so I will actually be otherwise occupied for most of the outage if they actually do it on schedule.

And don't forget to leave reviews, my minions! I often find that for some reason I'm less inclinded to leave reviews on Teaspoon. I don't know why, I have an account (and if you don't have an account, you can go ahead and make one to leave reviews, you don't have to be an author to have a Teaspoon account--most of the people who leave me reviews are not publshing on Teaspoon themselves). I'm trying to rectify that situation. Anyway. Have fun!
