irony = D'oh!
so thusday night I stop to get money at an atm machine. I put in my card, get my money and look down to see that someone left their atm card right there on the ledge. I was like, "uh oh. that's not good!"
being the good samaritan that I am, I pick it up intending to call the bank when I get home. which I do. they tell me to cut it up and toss it, which I also do.
then I go into my purse to give Kel her $20 and discover...I left MY atm card back at that same exact machine!! *bangs head on desk*
so kel and I go flying back to the machine, thanks to her nifty car I didn't have to walk and fret for 15 minutes. I get there and, naturally, my card is gone. chances are the machine just sucked it back inside when I didn't grab it in time, but I called my bank and told them what happened, minus the 1st bit of course. I'd rather just have my friends laughing at me. *grin*
good thing I still have a checkbook, that's all I have to say! it'll tide me over til the next card arrives.
