Cliché Meme

Jan 20, 2009 20:01

Here's the cliché meme I've seen popping up everywhere: Bold the clichés you have written, and italicise those you've considered writing.

Genderswap: I've never written genderswap. I've never seriously contemplated writing genderswap, other than a vague thought that it might be kinda cool.

Bodyswap: Nope. Even though it's canon or near-canon in a few of my fandoms (Red Dwarf and Blake's 7, notably) I've never written bodyswap

Drunk!fic: Hmm. I wasn't sure what to make of this one. I've written a few fics in which drinking and/or drunken!sex occurs (ie Unspoken and Marks respectively), but that isn't the main point of the fic.

Huddling together for warmth: Yes, but again, not really the main focus of the fic (Or a slashy plot device *gasp*) In Dreams contains huddling together for warmth.

Undercover in a gay bar: Nope

Pretending to be married: Nope

Secretly a virgin: Nope

Amnesia: Nope

Cross-dressing: Nope

Forced to share a bed: Nope

Aliens make them do it: Nope

Wingfic: Hey, I just realised I've written anti-wingfic! That is, I've taken characters which canonically have wings and written them as normal people. Wow.

Mpreg: Nope

Mistakenly assumed to be gay: Uh...I've written correctly assumed to be gay...?

Let's play truth or dare: Yes, technically, but it was all OCs

Mary Sue fic: Yes. Dear god it was awful. Thankfully it was lost when the site I'd posted it on went down.

Aphrodisiacs: Nope

Curtainfic: I suppose Coffee and Chess counts as being domestic...by the Liberator crew's standards anyway.

Hurt/Comfort: Doesn't everyone? XD I'm choosing to define it strictly as one character being in physical or emotional pain, and another character(s) helping/comforting them. There's Gunshots and Cigarettes (Slash), Unspoken (Gen), Time and Again (Gen), and Bleed (Slash). And technically there's the More Things Change 'Verse, although there isn't a lot of comforting going on.

Apocalypse fic: My WIP 'Four Weeks of Sunlight' ( Part One, Part Two) is a Sunshine/28 Days Later crossover in which most of the human race has been wiped out.

Someone has a baby: Nope. I've written future!fic in which one or more characters already have children, but I don;t think that counts

Baby!fic: Nope

Telepathic soulbonding: Nope

Werewolves mate for life: Nope

post type: meme, fandom
