Meme: First and Last Lines
Nicked from kareokegal - the first and last lines of the last ten fics I wrote.
1- Never Again
Torchwood: Jack
First Line: It was quiet as the grave in the Hub, devoid of life with its long-suffering employees at home and asleep.
Last Line: Not this time.
2- This is the Life
Torchwood: Jack/Owen, Gwen, Tosh, Ianto, Aliens
First Line: At first he can rationalise it.
Last Line: "Alright then," he said.
3- Even Hope
Doctor Who: Simm!Master/Jack
First Line: Despite all appearances to the contrary, despite the flirtation and jokes, Jack is an immensely practical person.
Last Line: Even hope.
4- Odds On
Firefly: Kaylee/Inara, Jayne, River, Simon
First Line: She smiles graciously and takes the councillor's hand, calmly ignoring the eyes she feels on her back.
Last Line: River wishes she had someone who could make her warm and soft and fuzzy, because then she could protect herself.
5- I'm Alive
Top Gear: Jeremy/Richard (Please note, RPS and disturbing themes ahead)
First Line: The bike's handles were smooth under his fingers, the vibrations of the engine running right through him like fever and chills.
Last Line: 'I'm alive.'
6- The Hollow Men
House MD: House/Chase, Cameron/OMC, Foreman
First Line: Chase was exhausted.
Last Line: And if there were still a few kinks in the arrangement...well, they had plenty of time to work them out.
7- Six Years
Indiana Jones: Indy/Older!Shorty
First Line: It's been six years.
Last Line: Because the blonde's been summarily dismissed, and he's happy, and for the first time in six years he's back where he belongs.
