Why does my brain do this to me?
I mean really, why?
I was watching 'The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances', and instead of enjoying all the pretty and the flirting and the 'yay Jack!'-ness, my mind is insistently sounding the plot-hole alarm. Why, brain? Why must you torture me like this? Can't I just enjoy the pretty?
I mean the basic premise of both episodes is that the nanogenes have never encountered a human before, so they get the wrong idea when they find Jamie. But they have encountered a human before - Jack opened the pod when he first found it to check that it was empty and program the crash landing.
On the upside, though, the whole thing with 'dancing' as a metaphor for sex amused me greatly. And 'Boomtown' was fantastic. "Buy me a drink first" XD
And why is it that even knowing Jack wasn't going to stay dead, 'The Parting of the Ways' made me bawl like a baby?
