OOHH - LOVELY!!! I love JD and Vin as the ones pushing Ez to stay and to deal with Chris - excellently done!! Style is wonderful - very in-keeping with Ezra's voice from the series. I love it! Are we going to see Ez and Chris, um, consummate this new change in their relationship???

So do I ^^ I was looking over my plan, in fact, and Vin at least looks set to randomly appear in just about every part. My Vin-muse has definite ideas about the situation, and refuses to be silenced.

And uh...apparently not. I'd meant to fit some sexing into this chapter, but I don't see either of them just jumping into it like that. And the fic just wanted to end there. Rest assured, though, I'll fit some Buck/JD sexing into part six if it kills me.

Anyway, I'm thinking once I'm done the main series, I'll go back and write some little inserts. Porn-flavoured inserts. Or at least I'll try - I'm not so good with smut (Shorter Odds was actually the first time I've summoned the courage to write the word 'cock' in a fic)

Or if you want to write some smut based on the situation, feel free.

LOL - I pretty much write Vin-smut, not exclusively, but it's my preferred smut-writing. I suspect you have other goals with this story and given you current pairings, while I could write Vin/Josiah, that too doesn't quite gel with the construction you have here.

That was actually the main thing that saddened me about this story - 'Damn, I've run out of people to slash Vin with...'

Maybe I'll stick him with Chanu just for the hell of it.

Don't let Fara fool you. For a Vingirl, she writes the most incredibly hot Buck you will ever read. 'Course it was with Vin....... :-)

I am loving your fic too, even though I am not normally a fan of C/E or B/JD. 'Course it is Buck, so I am sooo there!

For me, though I will always prefer Buck, (sorry, tall, dark and awesome has my heart), it is the characters' voices and how close they are to the original OW characters that will sell me on a pairing. And you have caught their voices beautifully. I love that quiet, observant Vin has long ago understood the attractions, though he has said nothing to this point. His answer to Ez on how long he had known was priceless, and so Vin, with that sly sense of humor.

I will be looking forward to seeing how you depict Buck.

LOL - You rock, Lady_G! Thank you - I do love me some hot Buck/Vin action! Buck does have that sweet sweet way about him! (I spend more time than I needed to today reading Julia V's genfic stories - odd of me, I know - and the one where They find wild-girl Amy and Buck gets all paternal - what a delightful story! Of course, it all started because of Susan's referral to "The General" story - poooooooor Buck!!! That one was way too fun!)

So I second your curiosity as to how our hostess will be interpreting the Bucklin! She's done so well with all the others!
