Got my ticket for Real Madrid vs. Zurich!

So, my roommate and I spent 2 hours this morning standing in the shade of the Bernabeu to pick up our free ticket (promotion for those who became Madridistas in the last few weeks) for the Real Madrid - Zurich game. Although I couldn't feel my toes by the time we got them, these boys are more than worth the sacrifice. Can't wait til tomorrow ( Read more... )

Hey, I just saw you post in the Daily Dose of Iker comm and came to read your journal... how exciting! Where are you from? I'm not exactly a big poster in LJ (at all) but I do post a lot in DDofI and ONTD_Football. xx

HI! As you can probably tell from looking at my journal, I'm incredibly new to lj. I live in NYC usually. In Brooklyn. I'm in Madrid right now working on a Master's degree in Spanish. Or that's what I'm supposed to be doing. What I'm actually doing is watching lots and lots of football :). I'm gonna be here until July 31st, with the exception of three weeks at xmas, so I'm trying to make the most of it, because I won't be able to justify coming back here once I return home. I was here summer 08, summer 09 and now school year 09-10 working on this program. Basically I got here just in time to fall in love with the spanish NT and then with Real Madrid. They make me happy inside, and that Men's Health magazine made my week. Well worth the 3.50 euro!

Ooh, I'm so jealous! I still kick myself for not studying Spanish at university. I was good at it, I just hated my teacher :( I'll be visiting your hometown in a month's time as I'm spending NYE there. Staying in Manhattan but I love Brooklyn so will hopefully head over there too. Then I coming with my best friend to Madrid in May. I might have to ask you about the more decent places to hang out! xx

:) feel free, although i don't go out a ton. it all depends on what kinds of places you're looking for. any language would be hell to learn with terrible teachers. i've been lucky enough to not have that problem. hopefully i'll leave here fluent enough that it will be of some use in nyc. btw, i see you're an arsenal supporter. i am forced to support them as well, as i think cesc is beyond adorable.

Cesc's gorgeous isn't he? In every sense of the word. He lives near me, believe it or not. I remember before he could drive often seeing him hiking up the hill from our town centre to the house he lived in with his landlady. Obviously now he cruises around in his Audi, but he's still a lovely lad. Well I'm glad you're having fun in Madrid, I can't wait to get out there in the summer. Also, well done for reigniting my LJ action. You never know, I might start actually writing in it again now that I have an LJ friend! xx
