Synch had nothing against religion, really. He would just rather stay far, far away from it. More wars and battles have been fought in the name of religion than anything else. He looked up at the grand cathedral, how should he act in front of the Bishop? With a professional, no nonsense air of a detective or that of an amicable young man that really wanted to nab the killer? He will have to decide when he came face to face with the Bishop himself, Synch supposed.

The Winchester Cathedral was quiet today, he thought, kicking a stone from his path as he made his way to the office. The brunette supposed it was only natural. He stood in front of the main door and knocked it twice and waited for an answer.

[ooc; Sorry for yesterday @_@;; I didn't read the ooc note properly. I am not sure when would it be the second day for you, but do tell me if I got the day wrong. @_@]

The bishop was seated at his desk, halfway through penning a letter to the archdiocese. The sound of a knock at his door was not entirely unexpected, given how many policemen and reporters had been coming by over the past week, but it was irritating nevertheless.

"Come in," he grumbled loudly.

Whoops, did he come at a bad time, or was the other always this grouchy? Synch turned the doorknob and allowed himself in, giving the bishop a sheepish grin. “I’m sorry for disturbing you-“ he looked at the pen and the paper in front of the father. “… would you like me to wait until you are done with the letter?”

"When I'm done, there's another, and another, and then today's mail will be delivered and there will be more to answer," the old man sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Let's just get this over with quickly."

Synch nodded sympathetically. He himself had a million and one reports to write, not to mention about a trillion math problems to look forward to.... alright, he was exaggerating, but just by a bit. The brunette took a seat across from the bishop. “It’s not much… but I made you something as a way of apologizing for taking up your time.” He said, handing over the packet of cookies he had made the night before.

The kitchen was a spectacular mess, but what Synch knew about socializing, coming to ask for a favor and to drop by without a gift was a no-no. The cookies were not as good as those made by B, but the brunette never had the need to bake before this.

“I’m sure you already know the reason that I’ve requested a meeting with you,” Synch started out. “Is there anything that you know regarding Miss Deborah Hart’s untimely demise?”

Cookies. The bishop eyed the packet before setting it aside. It was a nice sentiment but given the recent events he wasn't eager to be trying out strange food.

"It was a tragedy, what happened to that poor girl," he said, reaching up to rub at his right temple. "Debbie was a beloved member of our parish and too young to die in such a horrific manner. But the police have already concluded that this was a random act of violence. Can't you people just leave us in peace to grieve?"

Synch looked down at the bishop's words. He did not like intruding more than the older man did, but the completion of the case may very well depend on anything anyone of the witnesses may tell them.

The police disregarded it as a random act of violence? It did not make any sense. While he knew acts of violence are often triggered by an uncontrollable factor. His instinct told him something did not make sense, but he did not know quite put finger on it. For the umpteenth time, Synch cursed the lack of information given. How the hell was he supposed to ask relevant questions when he goddamned flying in the dark. He did not even know how the damn girl died, or how horrific the manner of death was.

"It is a sad thing, but the circumstance of Miss Deborah Hart's death have given cause for her parents to think otherwise." He said quietly.
