(no subject)
I keep seeing people referencing CA:CW and I keep reading it as "ca-CAW!" so that's what it is now. To me. And maybe you! Anyway, I saw the movie last night with Chaz and Osirus, and enjoyed it a LOT but I will post no spoilers because I appreciate other folks doing the same. I want to see it again, maybe in 3D this time.
boxes everywhere and still some stuff back at old house that we need to port over (mostly kitchen stuff, I really miss my pots & pans!) but it's shaping up nicely. So much room! So much quieter! I hung up some sheer curtains on the huge picture window in the great room and now when I look out I think it's very foggy. The intermittent running-water sound has been traced to the downstairs toilet; it's a fairly easy fix but one I'm not sure I want to tackle right now in my sleep-deprived state. Two bedrooms don't have doors on them but there may be doors in the garage that will work. The canopy on the deck is not properly attached to the frame, and I don't know what the loose hooks are supposed to hook on to, but the velcro in the struts is holding it on for now. I finally figured out how to add water to the boiler after staring at all the knobs for about ten minutes.
Next on the agenda: put together yarn-storage cubbies, organize yarn & fabric, and find a mattress for the bed I inherited from my grandparents (which has been stored in the garage for the last five years). Also figure out how the kitchen will be organized and put the rest of the stuff away. And figure out whether the weird smell in the office is from the dogs who lived here previously, or just a weird carpet-smell. This will involve a steam-cleaner. Argh.
We are going to a wedding this weekend and I've just now realized that I will know the bride & groom and Osirus and absolutely NO ONE ELSE but I have my wedding hat and a super-cute dress and it's going to be fun! It's also possible that I need a haircut before then but the timing might not work out. NO FUCKS GIVEN!
