Got a NOTICE OF TOLL DUE (scary all-caps not mine) from the Maryland DOT, who are claiming that on my exit from I-495 on June 12, I failed to pay $2.35 in tolls. There is a picture of my car and everything. I don't remember not paying a toll, in fact I am pretty sure if I had tried to fail to pay it Bethbethbeth, navigator and money-doler-outer supreme, would have mentioned it, but there was the photo of Rufus, plain as day. So weird. (Yes, I paid it. I don't even know. I guess it really is time to get an EZPass.)

Chaz is flying to San Francisco next week for L's wedding. He asked me for rides to and from the airport, and I had to tell him that the 'from' was a problem, as I will be out of town. I asked why he couldn't drive himself, and he said it was too expensive to park at the airport for six days. Well, duh. But if you google "cheap parking Bradley airport" you get a whole page of results that start at $5/day. He was ASTONISHED that this was a thing. Problem solved without needless round-trips to BDL for me. I just wish he weren't so damn surprised when I know stuff. Sheesh.

I have started delving into YA fiction and I am really digging some of it. Divergent bugged the crap out of me, which was disappointing, but Code Name: Verity was AMAZING, and I really enjoyed Fangirl as well. I have a couple more Rainbow Rowell books coming (Inter-Library Loan is a wonderful thing) which I also think I will enjoy. And right now I am reading Scarlet, which is the second in a series that started with Cinder; cyber-punk fairytales, sort of but not really, a very rich world and lots of stuff going on.

Also, and this deserves its own bullet-point, EVERYONE WHO TOLD ME TO READ RIVERS OF LONDON WAS RIGHT, omg. I am ten pages from the end of Broken Homes and I don't want to finish it because then there is no more! And that will be sad! WRITE FASTER, BEN AARONOVITCH!

Going to see GotG tomorrow night (NA Movieplex, 6:40 showing, $5 Tuesday, locals welcome to join us!) and I am pretty pumped. I know NOTHING about the franchise other than what I have seen in the trailer, and I'm going to be disappointed if the credits don't roll over "Hooked on a Feeling" (because how awesome was that? Really awesome) but I expect to have a fun time, and also I love going out to places with Osirus because <3.
