i want to make one thing clear. this post is really only directed toward one person, but it applies to anyone who has been guilty of this in the past as well:

people can write whatever they want in their own livejournals. if you don't like what someone is saying, don't read it. take them off your friends list. but don't tell them that they can't post about something and then leave annoying comments that serve no purpose other than to express your personal dissatisfaction with that person's opinion. one's livejournal is, as much as this can be true for something on the internet, one's own property, and livejournal readers should recognize this fact and think before they start complaining. if you're so insecure that you let someone else's opinion of something ruin your own enjoyment of it, well then you have far more serious issues than can be fixed by cyber-bitching.

that, and some people could use lessons in how to detect facetiousness. the use of punctuation smileys is a good indication that someone is not being completely serious...
