Kreacher sounds like Brain from Pinky and the Brain.
Ahahaha! I never thought about it before, but it's true - they even have the whole defy-the-system, world-domination thing going (though for Kreacher, it's tied to Sirius' mother). Aaaand the sleep deprivation begins to show...

Also, speaking of Molly in this chapter, did you notice this?
  • Page 100: [Molly's shouting at Mundungus]
'The idiots are letting her get into stride,' said George, shaking his head. 'You've got to head her off early otherwise she builds up a head of steam and goes on for hours... and there goes Sirius' mum again.'
Mrs. Weasley's voice was lost amid fresh shrieks and screams from the portraits in the hall.
Talk about contrasts in motherhood: Molly = calm and caring; Mrs. Black = eevil hellion troll princess. NOT.

Who's Pinky, then? Sirius? ;)

Totally. In fact, in a later chapter, I think Molly's directly compared to both Mrs. Black and Petunia. Ouch.

Roxanne, how could you ask such a question? It's Mrs. Black, of course! ;)

I can't picture Mrs. Black saying 'Narf!' ;)

*snerk* Check your emails - I've sent you a little something. :)

Another thing I noticed in this chapter which I forgot to mention:
  • [...]he leapt out of bed and put on his glasses. Mrs Weasley had laid out his freshly laundered jeans and T-shirt at the foot of his bed. Harry scrambled into them. The blank picture on the wall sniggered.
It's been, what, seven chapters? And the boy still hasn't bathed. Could it be that the picture on the wall is sniggering because you've joined the ranks of the (literally) great unwashed you're slightly unkempt, Harry?

Heh. Thanks!

I know! He doesn't even brush his hair. Yikes. Of course, it's naturally prettyful. Or something. Whereas Snape's is liek gross & greasy, since he too apparently neglects hygiene.
