This one is possibly the most hypocritical since ‘The Centuar and the Sneak’, I’m pleased to report!

I was SOOOOO embarassed OMG!>:-000
...
(He was distracted by Sirius giving him a blowjob just as he was going to call Snape. Then they had to discuss what the two of them were getting Harry as a joint after-OWLS present.)

And you say you won't write fanfic! ;)
That was probably better than about 90% off ff.net, depressingly. You missed out a reference to R/S's hand-fasting ceremony, though.

Err...anyone else beginning to think she and Neville's gran are more than friends? Suddenly I'm picturing them like two longtime companions in tweed who fell in love after The Great War.

Mr. Longbottom's not around anymore, after all...
I don't know, but I always got that vibe from McGonagall, personally.

And people worry Snape couldn't produce a Patronus?

Why do people worry about this? Snape hasn't suffered nearly as much as Harry, who has more problems than anyone else ever, and Harry can do it. Of course, Snape isn't as naturally talented, I assume...

How about picturing Harry kicked out of Hogwarts on his arse? EXPECTO PATRONUM!

Imagine if Snape's or Malfoy's Patronus memory was something like that. Ninety-page essays on 'OMG that is so irredeemable, they have no SOUL!11', I imagine.

Yes, why is she smiling? Would she know how much Harry wuvved Hagrid?

I don't recall them ever interacting together much in front of her. It was in the paper in GoF that they're friends, though. Maybe the IS told her?

It's not like she could be firing him to spite Harry--she's firing him strictly because he's a half-human.

It's all about Harry. Umbridge would totally fire every teacher in the school if it affected Harry even a little bit, because he's that important.

They've already made such a point of her knowing everything and getting 112% on her tests I don't see why there's anything she wouldn't know.

I guess it could be a cunning double-bluff. 'Hermione'll be fine!' *cue gasps as Hermione gets an E and kills herself from shame, and there's a long description about how it was all due to nerves, unlike those ordinary thickoes who are just inferior intellectually.* But yeah, I doubt it.

I didn't believe Harry beat her in DADA exams either, superpowers or not. Beating Hermione on a test is like the Spinal Tap amplifier going up to 11.

But...it's HARRY! Harry's the best there ever was at DADA! If anyone beats Harry at that, even Hermione, then the terrorists win! Even Voldemort's not as good at it as Harry! Even Dumbledore! Merlin himself would tremble at Harry's incredible prowess! *insert fifty more sentences on 'OMG, no-one's achieved such a high result in several centuries!'*

I'm sure half the room flipped her the bird behind her back.

I would have laughed openly at that, I'm afraid. Which is one of the reasons I'm so glad the Potterverse is fictional, unlike most. I'd end up hexed unconscious in a garbage bin somewhere every other week.

*Is furious.* Don't be so naive! CLEARLY she's being racist by only pretending not to be able to hear her!!

Hee! I guess because I'm so honourable, I just expect everyone else to be!

Maybe he'll get full marks in CoMC too to show everyone what a great teacher Hagrid is.

That would be wonderful! If there's one thing these novels need more of, it's reasons for Hagrid and Harry to recieve attention and encouragement in their behaviour!

This is the second time I can think of when Malfoy has caused an unsuppressable grin...Snape couldn't hide his smile in CoS. What would people do without Malfoy? He's a constant source of smiles and laughter!

It'd be a more boring series, that's for sure! ;)
