Sorry I haven't been around LJ much lately.. =( Life is a bit rocky right now.. it really blows. I've been sick, still jobless, emotionally distraught, and plenty of other emo BS. I have alot I need to get done, like mailing some packages, GETTING A FUCKING JOB D=< (which around here is harder than it sounds) and finishing some art ( Read more... )

The only opening we've had here is a job working at the animal shelter and I flat out refuse to take that job, there isn't enough money in the world.. ='/ Basically what they want is someone to help them hold down dogs while they put them down and then go muck out the now empty kennel.. Fuck that, I'd never take a job that makes me assist in the murder of animals.

I live in a very small town, 500 people total, and since I don't have my own car I can only take local work. I don't think they are going to let a 19yr old fat kid do security work and my mom won't let me work night jobs anyway because she doesn't think it's safe and I would have no one to pick me up at late hours since my dad has to be up at 6AM to get ready for his own job (which is in the next county).
It sucks because my situation limits what kind of work I'm able to do as I have to take into account having a ride to and from work as well as my mother's restrictions since I do live in her house. IE: No convince store jobs, no late night shifts, nothing out of town, and nothing that will leave me as the sole employee in the store at any time.

Those rules seriously limit what I can and can't do and in this small town that pretty much sticks me to: Walmart, fast food stores, and retail stores like Gamestop, Hibbit Sports, Dollar General ect, most of which I have already put in applications for to no avail.
