Home for the weekend. First two weeks at CCY have been a blast. Haven't had much of a chance to get online there. its an amazing place. Not sure how else to describe it. I've made a bunch of friends, learned a lot about jazz, and have improved my playing quite a bit. Before i came home we had community share day, where everyone from the different departments showed what they were working on. at CCY we have music, dance, theater, musical theater, tech theater, visual arts, photography, film making, creative writing, and i've probably forgotten something. I was extremely impressed with everything i saw and heard today. For my performance we played Bye Bye Blackbird and it went very well. I was very happy with my solo, and the audiance was too. I recieved very positive feedback afterwards. I had a high most of the day. I don't think i've played in an environment before where i had a peer come up to me afterwards and say "YOU'RE FREAKING AWESOME!" before (a girl i know did say that to me after). It was great. I am very happy there. life is good.
