Aphids
Poor Aspar and Gus got an aphid infestation of late, which I only noticed a few days ago. Friday I bought some insecticide, and tonight I did the laborious work of taking each plant in turn to the shower (and Emperor V.G. Augustus for good measure, who seems to be fine)--by way of installing my new removable shower head, which I've had for months but the tools for the installation of which I've only bought recently--and gave them all some in-depth spray-downs, washing off nearly all of the aphids who were growing on the two plants' new shoots. Together with the insecticide granules, hopefully this will bring the matter under control. Quite a bit of work for this out-of-shape hunk!

They're still hanging in there, though--and with lots of new shoots to suggest they're doing their best! =D
