Camp NaNoWriMo update

Still working away on Camp NaNoWriMo, and have just passed the 8000 word mark - next stop 10k :)

Taking the men back Solidago seemed like it might be the only viable option open to him. Kibesha might have been closer and had a larger Avronian military presence, but there were at least three dozen armed men who had no qualms about killing all they saw, not if the way they had laid waste to Timballie was anything to go by.

“You are wondering how you will manage to get to Kibesha, are you not?” Aran asked leaning again one of the stone columns at the side of the windows. He continued before Sarpedon had a chance to reply. “The answer is that I will take you and your men to Kibesha. I know the trackways through the hills, the paths that wagons nor marching men can take.”

Sarpedon snorted.

“You still mistrust me, despite the evidence of your own eyes,” Aran said not sounding in the least perturbed by Sarpedon’s attitude. “It would make no sense for me to lead you out here only to kill you.”

“Nothing about any of this damnable scenario makes sense,” Sarpedon said sourly.

“In that then, my friend, - ” Aran put a hand on Sarpedon’s shoulder. “-we’re in agreement.”
