Summary: Storms remind Becker of other times and places.
It doesn't do to show fear, not in front of the men, not if you wish to keep their respect. Becker's father had always been clear on that.
He'd remembered that as a shit scared Second Lieutenant on his first posting in Iraq, and he remembers it now on a storm scoured hillside as they hunt for the Troodon who'd attacked a family.
Becker closes his eyes for a moment, the thunder becoming the rumble of the armoured vehicles and the lightning the crack of automatic weapons fire. He shivers, rain soaked, but it's nothing to do with the cold.
