something important - Mod Post
So, most of you have probably seen it everywhere, but Sue Vertue left a message to all fans:
Hi, Sue Vertue here.
As many of you are aware, we'll soon be embarking on our first London leg of filming for series 3. I'm also aware that there is quite a lot of speculation about where we're shooting when. I can't stress how much we the Producers and Benedict, Martin and the rest of the cast appreciate your love and dedication to our show - we'll endeavour to live up to your expectations for Series 3.
What I am nervous about is that our London shooting schedule is punishing and will really give us very little time to interact with you. The actors really hope you understand that.
Also, and I know this is probably asking a lot, the majority of fans and indeed ourselves would REALLY appreciate it if you didn't post pictures or spoilers or ideally our daily locations.

I want to stress again that this community does not allow production photos etc which were taken by fans during production. Only official photos/spoilers etc are allowed. I feel very strongly about this, because it is about respecting those who do a job so we get the best possible version of what they are making. I know that there were several not nice incidents during filming of season 2 which actually endangered the cast and crew and that people spoiled others by giving away esp. Reichenbach info.
Sue does not forbid anyone to come and watch, but she asks people to stay out of the way and let them do their job; obviously, because this has not been possible on some occasions.
Of course most people have been nice and respectful and waited until the actors/crew approahced them and not the other way around. But, it is important to remember that there are hundreds of thousands of pounds involved, and every minute of distraction caused by fans costs money and nerves.
i have read several reactions on the internet which go on about Sue's note being unfair to fans, etc., and however you may feel about this, all she asks for is a little respect and common sense.
Do not post pictures that are taken during filming and do not post reports; and this also goes for the press, who I see as the bigger problem here, not the fans.
Anywho, I just wanted to say something about this, because I have always felt strongly about this.
Just know that even if it's just a tiny percentage of fans, but the production has previously been interrupted by fans and spoilers were leaked which should not have been leaked. a lot about this series is the mystery of the HOW. Someone spoiling that costs actual money, because it might keep people from watching. That's a fact- Sue as the producer is aware of those issues and needed to address them.
I'm not pointing fingers and I am sure you all understand what I am saying. Go and watch them if you happen to stumble upon them...from a distance. Don't approach them or wait around in the hopes of talking to them. They work long hours and need every bit of rest they can get in between, however lovely they are and however often they stayed and wrote autographs etc.
Also, we're getting more info on filming than ever before with the production team tweeting and all. we shouldn't be greedy, but be thankful for the amazing things we are getting to see and know.
edit: Mr Jones posted photos of people 'watching' filming in North Gower Street. While it is understandable, it is also obvious that it will be incredibly difficult to quieten everyone down and to not have any interruptions. Hence, Vertue's worries are very understandable.
