news on season 3

Moffat said that "Sherlock will be back for a third series of three 90-minute episodes, hopefully before the year is out".

from the Guardian interview

edit: apparently either Moffat wasn't thinking when he said it, or the interviwer got it wrong.

A-ha! So that implies Sherlock has survived.

Well the fact that we see him at the very end is kind of a giveaway, don't you think?

It seems, to me, the basic thing Moffat is saying in regard to the mysterious clue is 'You're seeing, but not observing.' XD

The larger question-is he telling the truth? LOL.

I would so love a Christmas special where John comes home to find him under the tree.

SM and MG have been talking about a Christmas Sherlock for a while. Roll on the Blue Carbuncle I say.

The interview is amusing but mainly confirms that SM just loves trolling his own fandom.

haha, it would be all kinds of epic if they filmed that. :D and yes, you never know with them...

Perhaps we should start sending Gatiss Christmas themed sheets as a hint?

He'd certainly appreciate them regardless.

This makes me very happy, but the thing is: Can we believe him? *shakes fist at Moffat*

Trying not to get my hopes up :p

Oh and the big clue we are all missing? I don't believe him. Because I've seen every frame of the last fifteen minutes of the Fall being taken apart and theorised about and there are very solid scenarios of how things could have happened. I think Moffat couldn't have seen all the theories. He doesn't know and he's just stoking discussions and making us mad. I swear, this man is trolling everytime when he opens his mouth.

Okay, so Sue just tweeted that there would be no S3 this year. I knew I shouldn't get my hopes up ;_;

What irks me is that people who respond to it are like: yeah, new eps so soon wouldn't be possible. Why not? It's a whole year! They shooted S2 during summer and we got it now, so why not the same course for the S3??

I know that it's not probable because everyone's so busy (mainly BC and MF) but I don't like when someone says it's not even possible.

A Christmas special would be possible, though. She said no S3. That is not a Christmas special. :)

I like your logic :) But I don't think they would do Christmas special before they do Empty House and they probably wouldn't do Empty House as a Christmas special...so that could be no to this as well :(

Am I bad/weird for still thinking that a full year +/- month should be enough to do S3?

I know Moffat is an evil troll, a liar who lies, but I can't help but take him seriously regarding Sherlock's sexuality. WHY CAN'T I JUST GET AN ASEXUAL HERO? Is it really too much to ask? ;__;

Convince me that he's just trolling! Please!
