Aww Man no Omen!
Well Tuesday was so busy i almost blew up. I start school at 1 and go till ten at night on tuesdays. I usually have a two hour break between classes...usually. This week i had to stay to help the girls in my group to turn in their final drafts of their articles and ads and it was such an over load. I didnt even get to eat. One of my members Leysa has been amazing, she even did the main part of the story boarding for the magazine (which btw is called Wunderland. I now have to fix their headers, make an extra add or two because someones computer crashed and she had to re do her stuff, put all her stuff for her sex article in ps and make it pretty, then story board EVERYTHING in PS to be printed at Kinkos. Its not HARD its just going to take a long time.
I then went to entrap class which is fun cus i have a great teacher and i get to chill with Bukki, but that night she had more roommate issues (they suck and need to learn some respect) so she had to leave and i sad alone, hungry, contemplating eating my arm, and taking notes.
When i got out of school mo and i had planned a date since he is off deadline, we WERE going to go see the Omen...alas it the theater was full of jackass 14 year olds so we threw those plans out the window and went home instead.
I also have to draw a girl getting tatted by another girl, moonknight, and do some pics this sat. Ugh its hard to find time to work out when you have such a heavy work load, school+flatting+baby=no time. I really have to get on all my work, i also have to write an essay do a paper thats at least 7 pages long and write up a cover page, bio, and something else in my mircoeconomics class. Its close to being over then i have to get all ready for PORTFOLIO (play dramatic scary music here) I know im going to have to end up re drawing EVERYTHING for my portfolio since all the projects were for fashion runway shit and im doing costumes.
In that news, i went for an interview to work Howl O Scream at Busch Gardens. I went with Char, i told her she had to go and try herself and im really glad she did because i know how charming/talented she is and im SURE they will take her on even if i dont get the job. On the note, even if i dont get the job i have the happy memory of a professional costume maker tell me that he loves my stuff, he said i should try and design toys as well. He was just so impressed with my work and the only thing he said he would change is the diversity, he mentioned i really needed to add men to my designs. I agree but i am also horrible at drawing men.
While we were there interviewing we had to take a sewing test and it was very interesting to me to see how different char and i think. I went one way with an answer and she went another way, both of our answers were prob right but we took the problem on diff and thats cool to me.
Sorry im just over joyed to hear a pro say they like my work. He had SO many toys like at least a 100 in his office area. I really dig that. The work area seemed to embrace creative people and i am craving a work environment like that. Im sick of retail places, they very literally kill your soul.
Tomorrow i have class then on sat i go see X3 with Mo then its off to moms to hang out with Char and Stacia...god being with them is like a girly vacation of goodness. I cant wait it will be good for all of us to hang out.
Trying to get things together to hopefully go to dragon con. Need a ticket in and food and im good. I do want to come with costumes but it may not happen simply because of money on mine and stacias part. Stacia and i wanted to do quick silver and scarlet witch, fruit bats, and a bee and butterfly. I think it would be fun and mostly i want to see people i havent seen in forever like Jonathan, Ze, Alisa, Amano, Riki, Weasel and Chesh, Fergs, Photo Gnome, Andy Lee and most of all Joe and Cyndee. I really miss all of them and Ive been dying to catch up with Cyn and Joe. They are like the best couple i know and such good people with such amazing hearts.
Finally in Alices news: shes not really sick persay but she isnt gaining weight, she even lost a pound (but has since gained it back). At first we thought maybe she wasnt eating enough but after several visits to the doctors and stuffing the baby like crazy it seems there may be a larger issue. The baby in two weeks gained 3 ounces, a baby is supposed to gain that daily. This of course worries me to no end since our doc now wants to send her to a gastroantonologist (sp?) to see if her tummy is absorbing protein. Im hoping shes just got a fast motabolism like her daddy and me because if not that means more tests and needles for my lil one. She seems completely healthy other wise, we play and giggle, and shes learning so many new things, trying to talk, reaching for EVERYTHING, and typing now apparently lol. Bukki and Char even SWEAR she said Mama the other day but i didnt hear it so im holding off on calling it her first word. Shes a very happy comfy sweet and loving baby. She only fusses when shes cranky, so i cant imagine what MIGHT be wrong with her tummy.
In happy Alice news, she FINALLY cut her first tooth, it popped out just a tiny bit a day ago. I had only felt it so i wasnt for sure but today we got a flash light and sure enough its there...im all in silly super happy mom mode over that. Oh and those pics we took were so cute i really need to scan them in when i can get to a decent scanner since mines on the fritz.
