Unbelievable
I still feel like crying. Not a bad cry though!
Mat came home later than usual tonight, and when he came home he told me not to come out of the bedroom for a little bit. He disappeared into the living room for about half an hour and then came in and told me to get into some comfy pajamas and then close my eyes. So I changed into a t-shirt and pajama pants and took his hand and he led me out into the dining room and sat me down at the table. Then I heard some shuffling around and then he asked me to open my eyes.
When I opened my eyes he was sitting across from me, smiling, and in front of me the table was covered in a white table cloth, rose petals, a bowl full of ice with a bottle of Blackberry wine inside, two wine glasses, and two bowls of fruit. He had arranged the flower petals all around the table and circling my wine glass, and inside the rose petals around my glass there were pieces of chocolate. I was completely shocked and I started crying a little.
Then Mat jumps up, saying that he had forgotten something, and goes into the kitchen. He then comes out with the biggest bundle of roses I've ever seen. So of course I start crying even harder and laughing like an idiot. Mat then came over to me and handed me the roses and gave me a big, sexy kiss. <3
So when he sat down again and I asked him what all this was for he completely shocked me. Today was our 1 year and 8 month anniversary. Mat just felt like doing something special for me!
Ahhh Goddess, I'm crying again. No one has ever done anything this special out of the blue for me before! I'm actually at a loss for words.
Now here's the funny part. When I asked Mat what he wanted to do after we finished eating all the chocolate and the fruit and drinking the wine and talking, he said, "You know, I can't imagine ending the night without just sitting down and playing WoW with you." And I completely agreed.
Oh god WoW is slowly replacing sex.
