I have never been so happy in all my life. Never. This is the best time of my life. My mother asked me Sunday night, "Looking back, what is your favorite time in your life." It felt great to be able to say honestly, "Right now."
Maggie and my mother are getting along. Really and truly getting along. I haven't felt like we're all one cohesive family until now, and I didn't realize how good that was going to be. She definitely knows about the engagement, but she's not upset. She seems to be fine with it. I've never felt so validated.
Friday is prom. I'm completely psyched about it. I'm pretty psyched about life in general right now, come to think of it. Being home has been great, and I have a feeling this summer is going to be the best of my life. All is well, and I'm living it up.
