God made a beautiful girl AND gave her a genetic disorder speeding her death unless we could find the right donor: for that girl to survive someone had to die and thats why when i see God i'm going to spit in his eye.

Yeah.
I have to admit - not being a mother - I have no concept of the kind of grief they must be experiencing.

I'm willing to bet she had depressive moments, moments when she was paranoid about every breath she took or sensation shift in her lungs. I imagine she had moments of hopelessness and despair at the knowledge of being denied the opportunity to have a full life; be an aunt, a mother, a grandmother. She probably kept those close to her and her family - being a public display of 'hope' will do that... And - like you - she opted not to let the fears of her mind rule her life. And sitting in love and hope is what kept her alive for as long as she was - what brought her back from respiratory failure last month and allowed her to live in chronic organ failure for as long as she did.

I imagine she and her parents spoke at length about her passing, and she probably made it clear that she wouldn't want them to despair over her passing. Not knowing their religious beliefs, they may also have some peace in the sadness. Hard to say.. It's a new journey for the entire family now. Thankfully, they had a really good role model to face this death and they have a huge community to offer support at any moment they choose to accept it.

well, yeah, she had depressive *moments* and paranoid *moments*. she was not consumed by them and i sometimes am and i don't have an intensely painful terminal illness. i'm not as upset now as i was, i was very angry. i can't imagine being in a position where if i was going to live some one else would have to die, and they'd have to die healthy and have my blood type. that is frustrating and sad. its unfair.
