i can sight read!
ok, so my sax has been driving me nuts all week. the F# key keeps sticking. it was horrible. but it only happens if i play the top 3 keys..if i press the key down, it wont. its the weirdest thing in the world. niether one of the teachers know whats wrong with it. so yeah...when i play G..its like..g#..its really horrible. then like..when i go to high D E and F...it sounds really flat..and really muffeled. so im very upset about that. i have to take it in on saturday to get it checked out. there better not be anything wrong with it or like broken..i just got that sax last year!
jazz band went much smoother today. i really dont like the way our new director teaches it..but you know. anyway, i found today i can sight read much better when im sitting next to kim..lol! my fellow tenor. lol, so yeah. the music we played today i guess was a little bit easier than yesterday. so yeah..all we're doing right now is sight reading whatever music they hand to us. so far im really like the selections. our trumpets (as always) are awesome, and we have an awesome alto player as well. once we get the hang of it..it should be good
in history today, we were talking about the hurricane that hit new orleans. i guess the gonvernment is finally forcing everyone to leave. they say its going to be inhabitable for 2-3 months because of all the diseases and viruses that are there. theyre also saying theres another tropical storm coming towards florida. they last thing i heard was that theres a huge debate over whether or not we should repair it. i guess new orleans has been slowly sinking..and in about a hundred years or so theres not going to be a new orleans. its kind of a sad thought really. i was so hoping to go down there eventually. jsut think if another ones going to hit...its horrible. trevors dad is down there right now. there's been gang shootins, its like total chaos. its really scary...:*(
on a lighter note, picture day was today. i really hope mine turned out alright. othewise i'll be very sad..lol! so yeah. i wore a simple black shirt, cheetah shoes, jeans, my black chain earrings, and my rose and butterfly necklace. so yeah..my hair was curled and side parted. lol, good enough description? anyway, crystal called today..she asked me if she could borrow my de pere jam session shirt..FOR PICTURE DAY! lol! sorry..shes a freak..but i love her anyway
