Today ....  well it was another day...

This morning I watched my alarm with it's faint neon green glow the times 12:06, 12:55, 1:35, 3:55, 5:00, 5:22, 5:47, and 6:12.  The eyelids are feeling a wee bit heavy.

50% of my department was missing.  Which means, Sheila was not there.
We were slammed due to the holiday weekend and whatnot.
OK Fine.  I lived through it.
Found out the plates on my car are not the right ones.  With me getting my Dad's car we had to swap the plates and that meant a lot of flip flopping of registrations and what not.  So I have the proper registration, but the wrong plate.  I was supposed to go to my Mom's today but with being so tired, working later than planned,  and the crazy line of traffic on Telegraph and Hickory Grove I decided to pass.  I am getting the car tomorrow after work....  Lots of mixed feelings with that.  I know the first time I drive it I am going to just cry.  I hate crying.  I hate it.  But I have been doing a fair share of it lately.  Last Friday I was 15 minutes late for work.  I have no been late for work once this whole time in the Admissions department.  And I was not late because I was still en route, I was late because I was in my car crying like a blubbering idiot.  Took some time to pull it together.  So god only knows what having his car is going to do to me.  I am not exactly looking forward to it.  Even though everyone says "it's a gift"  well yes it is a huge gift.  But if I had the choice between taking that gift of a car or having my Dad back, hands down I'd take my Dad.  Clearly it was not like that.  We had no choice in the matter and that just sucks.  But i don't know if I am ready to take his car.  My good old boat of a Crown Vic has over 317,000 miles on it.  GO BABY GO!

Anyway, today was not bad.  It was just a long day.  Tomorrow will be better.
And now I am off to figure out what to have for dinner other than beer and go kill stuff in WoW.  It actually does hold some sort of cathartic means for getting my aggression out.
