On New Year's Eve I took Ari to the hospital. I thought he had the flu and got dehydrated. Well, he did get dehydrated, but not from the flu. At that time, Brian and I were both miserably sick as well. A few days in the hospital later, we find out that we had Salmonella. Wow.
All I can say is that Salmonella is the most foul and disgusting illness that I've had in a while. I didn't even know I could throw up that much. Hehe.
Where, might you ask, did we get it from? Ug. Remember Quincey, our Iguaua. Well, reptiles have a nasty habit of harboring Salmonella on the surface of their skin. Happy New Year.
Yesterday Ari came home, and he's doing a lot better.
I've been on a disinfecting spree at home. I'll admit, I might not be the most germ conscious person. But, this has really lit a fire under my ass. I am a new gal. And, I'm hitting up the vitamins and healthy type foods.
Anyone want an Iguana?
In unrelated news, things with Heather and I are going well. She's fiery and passionate and stubborn and interesting and a bit argumentative. And, I had forgotten what it is like to have someone think you are sexy, and think they are sexy too. In fact, the part that I like most is not the physical attraction. Its the staying up all night and talking and holding each other. Its what I've been looking for, for a while. I have no idea what the future holds, its hard not to be cynical with relationships, but I'm happy right now.
Well, peace out kids, and don't forget; WASH YOUR HANDS!
