If I type the name William Willard here most who read this won't recognize the name. I'm going to try and introduce him to you.
About eight years ago William Willard was told he would never walk again. A little over a year later he was getting around well with a cane.
William Willard was a non certified mechanic. Give him any old doohickey and he could plug it into a car.
William Willard was a handyman. He and I installed my dishwasher together, mostly with him telling me what to do for the parts that were mine.
William Willard was a passionate man who will yell in your ear to get you to understand his opinion, but he doesn't mean harm by it. He just believed in things passionately.
William Willard was my wife's best friend and ex-husband.
William Willard was a loving Father.
William Willard was my roommate and friend for most of the past 4 years.
These things did not make the sum of him, because he was more.
William and I quickly got past a rocky start. We became an unorthodox family, with Logan being thrilled to have two daddies around. We spent time with each other's families, and he was a groomsman when his ex and I got married.
William Willard died earlier today. He was alone in his apartment, but with as much as he touched those close to him, he was never really alone.
God Bless.
