With her own smile, Yuna looked up at her newly found cousin, taking her hand and lifting herself up with half the effort. Everything -- was easier with friends at your side. Rikku was like nothing she could ever have imagined. And so accepting... She couldn't have wished for a better outcome.

"Right," she said with a nod, looking forward. "In Mayra," she exhaled, focusing on the setting sun for a moment before her pensive expression was banished by her fragile smile.

"Would you... tell me more about where you come from, Rikku? And about Uncle Cid?" she paused. "I always -- wanted to know."

As the two began ambling their way along the path, Rikku unclasped the satchel strapped about her leg and removed her Survivor claw. Occasionally, there would be a foreigner visiting Besaid now and again, but if a Yevonite were to speak to them too long ( ... )

The perky thief caught sight of Yuna's gasp as the blades of her Survivor neared her flesh, and she waved off the girls surprise nonchalantly. “Oh don’t worry. Pops designed this for me when I was like 6, so it’s practically a second limb to me. I may seem kind of, the klutzy type but I won’t get myself with it.” Not that she hadn’t, at first. The initial make of the armlet had not been intended as a weapon - but as a last means of “grasping for dear life” so to speak after she nearly tumbled off the skyship. That part of the story, did not seem necessary to share. She wanted to prove her stuff as a guardian. Not seem like some kid that was going to fall overboard ( ... )
