So yeah here's that update thing I was talking about
So yes I am now officially a Quarter of a Century old. Sorry I'll rephrase that ever so slightly: AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH FUCK I'M OLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!
That feels better. Yes my birthday went well, a nice time was had at a club in tufnell park despite the bar being closed from 11:50 till 00:30, which I thought was a wee bit excessive for the staff needing a new years drink but hey hey what do I know I was only the guy waiting to buy a frickin drink *grumble*fuckinbartenders*grumble*.
And over the last 4 nights i have been doing actual shifts at my new job, 12 hours a pop, which really fucks with your body clock and any time you may want to spend with your girlfriend, but I only have to do it 7 days in every 28 and I do get half the month off which REALLY makes up for it in my eyes. BUT the best thing about my work? Is it the huge amounts of Mythbusters episodes I have to encode in various languages? Insane documentaries about people who "Shouldn't be Alive!" No. Quite simply it's this sign which is on the road leading into the development that my building exists on.
Genius.
Whilst gettign to this point I realised that as far as me goes thats all she wrote since the last time I wrote here, new job (doesn't suck) and newly old (does suck). This leaves only a few very nerdy things left to mention.
a) I played to much Sonic the Hedgehog as a child. Why? because when I downloaded it on our virtual console for the Wii and Labyrinth zone act 3 kicked my ass I didn't even have to THINK about the level select cheat it just kinda fell out of my fingers onto the Wii-Mote.
b) Guitar Hero 2 is slowly yet surely being conquered, with at least 3 100% scores being recorded on Easy so far. Not exactly headline news defeating them on easy, but considering how badly I sucked at the first game I am proud dammit! And I was pleased to discover that "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock Ya Tonight" was just as much fun as I was hoping it would be :)
c) The Jack Bauer Power Hour is back!!!!! And oh my god was Day 5 worth the wait, and Day 6 is kicking all kinds of ass already as well!!!!
d) The Xmas period whilst bringing many fine presents was the time when my total number of physical copies of the Original Star Wars Trilogy grew to 5 copies of each film.
And with that I leave you, but I do not slink off into the night leaving you with nothing oh no I present you with may become an ongoing series that I will tentatively entitle "Silly old pictures that Gav found on his PC"
