It's the most wonderful time of the year...
And I ain't talking about Christmas! Or my birthday, or Halloween...
I'm talking Comic-Con! A week from today I'll be back in San Diego for the first of my two days at con for 2012. Looks like this year I will be able to meet up with the wonderful krisrussel (who I previously met at the 2011 Creation Stargate con at LAX with TORRI HIGGINSON!!! WOOT!) And lo and behold, it looks like there's gonna be some fun stuff on the schedule while I'm there... The Hobbit, Firefly's 10th anniversary, IRON MAN 3, and TRON: Uprising, oh my! Mercifully, I'll get to miss the idiot Twilight fans that will all be swarming the place on Thursday. Sorry Kris, you're on your own to deal with that! :P
The train is booked, my tickets and confirmation emails are printed out and carefully filed in my handy little document wallet, and my con bag is being prepped. Now to keep an eye on the weather report...
So, what else am I up to? That marvelous SGA fic project (known better as Atlantis Rising) is proving to have more lives than Daniel Jackson, as the rebelling website has been wrestled into submission and new fic is being written and beta'd as we speak. That Other SGA fanart project is proceeding slowly but surely. And now it seems I've been bitten HARD by a new fandom and pairing. Iron Man. Tony/Pepper, aka Pepperony (the only smush name I've ever seen that actually sounds cute and totally works). Ye gods, I am in sooo much trouble. :P
