The rest of the flist has already exploded with squee, so I figured I'd add my own two cents.

First, to recap the news for anyone just climbing out from under their rock... From an interview with Joe Flanigan that will appear in the Official Stargate Magazine, Issue #26 (on newsstands December 23):

Q: Is there anything that John didn't get to do, in your eyes?

JF: I wish that I'd had a leading female romantic interest who was, like, my boss. I was thinking we could get some of that Moonlighting quality into the show, where it's not gratuitous nonsense and romantic excess, it's just under the surface, hidden, and consequently incredibly frustrating. You have a job to do, and you have to push your feelings aside. That makes for some of the best movies and television around.

*cackles*

So, a leading female romantic interest who was his boss? The only four leading female characters on SGA were Weir, Teyla, Keller and Carter. Teyla and Keller get disqualified because they were never Sheppard's boss, and we all know Joe wasn't impressed by the decision to bring Amanda Tapping on board to try to cater to the SG-1 crowd, so Carter's also out. Which means that Joe Flanigan has just officially declared his support for Sheppard/Weir.

WTFOMFGBBQSQUEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

*calms down... slightly*

Well, we already knew Joe was royally pissed off about Torri Higginson getting thrown under the bus by SGA's producers, and after they backstabbed the entire remaining cast when SGA was cancelled, I guess Joe figured it was time to stick it to producers once and for all!

*starts opening more bottles of champagne and passing them out to the flist*
