OMG YES HURRAY. Their banter was perfect and so them. I like her taking charge and him more than willing to comply. There really seems to be a balance/equality between them even though they go their separate ways (as they must) in the end.

Very nicely done. The contrast between her ceremonial offices and her working quarters is particularly effective. You describe settings well.

The dialogue is a little bit stilted. I think more use of contractions would fix that. All in all, I enjoyed this very much and found it entirely plausible. ;)

Thank you :) I try hard to make the settings we don't see in the game stand out, so I'm glad that came off well.

I can see how the lack of contractions would make the dialogue sound a bit stilted; I actually chose to do that deliberately because it fits with the diction of Ivalice in my head, and also specifically at the end I think Ashe would be formal, and Balthier too, because it's that kind of moment.

I think more than the physical, it is the banter that makes the Balthier and Ashe pairing so over sexy. I love the take charge attitude of our queen here and the bit of angst at the end. Great job.
