Return of The Reading Room - coming to a comm not far away from you...
I thought the mods might not mind if I posted this here, and I really wanted an excuse to post this new fab banner by dollidaydream... *g*
Every Thursday is Reading Room night over at ci5hq, which is all about loving Pros stories and appreciating nearly forty years of Pros fic... *g* The Reading Room started way back in 2009 and with a few pauses to catch breath, including the slightly longer most-recent one, it's been going ever since. It's a place and time to rec and chat about the Pros stories that someone out there is reading right now, what we like, what we love, and all the other thoughts that we might have about them! *g*
A post is made at the beginning of the week to let people know which story is up on Thursday, so they can read it ahead of the chat if they want to, and then the story host posts about the fic sometime on Thursday. Comments are open until everyone runs out of steam - and then even longer, because this is lj and the stories are all tagged so that you can find them again whenever you like, and go back and comment years later too. *g* They can be as simple as "I loved this too!", or they can be rambling deconstructions of exactly why you think a particular author portrays Cowley as two years older than he really is in the series, or anything in between. *g*
And volunteers to post are always welcome - come and add your name to the schedule and tell us about your favourite Pros fic. Or the one everyone should read cos it's so wrong. Or the one everyone should read because it's just like an ep. Or such a big part of Pros fandom history. Or... *g*
