Alaskan Adventures

When we last left our intrepid hero, he had had time for reflection as well as a great deal more work than originally anticipated. Work was completed much the clients joy, much beer was had at the Moose's Tooth...omfg do they make a good set of beers. and finally off to the airport for a 2 hr flight to Juneau. Alas this was not too be. 32 hours later I find myself in a hotel in Juneau preparing for work tonight. In the intervening time I have hit all the small little fishing villages between Anchorage and Seattle, I've taken an 8 hr ferry ride after spending a 12 hr day on a plane on various runways, or in bfe airports waiting for the fog to lift until finally left with no other choice spending 8 hours in a terminal waiting on said ferry to arrive before being able to actually travel here.

Bear in mind I am not complaining, by setting foot in Juneau I have made a 40hr work week all ready, and I still have miles to go before my week is done.

On the books for the moment, work here tonight, fly to Anchorage tomorrow, fly to Harrisburg, PA. Wed. meeting in harrisburg thursday, fly into Atlanta thursday night, work atlanta thursday night before even going home, and then lunch with the boss and clients friday and that's if everything goes according to plan.

This is why I tell them it would be cheaper to have me on salary, but if they want to pay me an 80hr week at time and a half I won't complain.

That's all for now
