Opening night

went very well on Saturday. The Gen. Director decided on Thursday morning to transpose a 10-page section near the end down a half step, so we spent our warm-up time going over the newly-transposed sections instead of actually warming up. (Bah.) The house was packed, from what I could tell without my glasses. We got a standing ovation for like 5 minutes. I've never been on the receiving end of that much applause before, it was kind of weird.

My family is going on vacation in two days... without me. I will actually be allowed a certain degree of freedom, and its about frraking time. It'll just be me and Andrew's bestest buddy in the whole world, John.

I want to go up to Western and scout out the area, see what kind of stuff there is to do up there. Not sure when, but I want to do it while my parents are out o' town so my mom doesn't have a heart attack or anything.

Happy (late) birthday, Sarah!
