Low commute time - agreed, but I draw the line at 20-40 minutes each way, since having to leave home at 6am, being out of the house for 12-13 hours a day, getting home around 6-7pm and then having to start running the house sucks - and not in a good way.
Not working in a morally reprehensible position - essential. I won't euthanise anything except vermin and insects, and I too will not get involved in outbound call centres or telemarketing/sales of any kind.
Adequate compensation for the work I do/production rate? Actually I'm not so fussed. If an employer is willing to hire me and pay me a living wage, I will do pretty much anything I am asked to do in return for that wage - subject to my own moral compass and personal abilities. A fair day's work for a fair day's pay and all that. Also I don't care so much for predictability other than location - I don't care about doing different things every day, I just refuse to be shifting my base of operations every day. (Hubs is going through that a lot right now, and it's exhausting and stressing him to the max).
Dress code optional - personally I disagree with this. I much prefer a uniform - preferably one that can be claimed back on tax every year - that is substantially different from my normal wardrobe, and preferably something easy to wear and not have to think about what I am going to wear every day to work. Regular clothes are expensive enough and hard enough for me to find at the best of times - I don't want to wear them out that much faster by wearing them to work.
Hours? I'd be happy with 9-5, except that almost always equates with 8-6 these days (or it has in all the places I've ever worked) - and I hate that. It kills me getting up that early in the morning (starting work at 8am in the city means I have to be up before 5 am and out the door by 6.15) and getting home that late at night...and moving closer is not an option without getting rid of the cats - and that's like asking me to euthanise a child. I just can't do it.
Working in an industry I have an interest in? Now *that* would be ideal - if only I could find something I am interested in that I could work in...
Enough income - agreed.
