New Year 2011
Just gone midnight. Music is thumping and there's the occasional 'woo!' from outside in the street. Pretty much as expected.
Honestly, 2010's been a fairly large pile of suck. I can think of maybe one event on the nonprivate radar that made it all the way to being only a mixed pile of suck and better things.
ETA: three hours later. Quiet now. Been checking back through LJ to see if there was a brilliant event this year I could point to as the exception. Doesn't appear to be. :/
Maybe it's just me being cynical and always seeing the downside?
