Things you don't want to see on newsfeeds

A day after having submitted an invention idea for evaluation as a product, reading an internet newsfeed saying something which sounds identical (or better) has just been invented/released on the other side of the world.

Fortunately, closer examination reveals it's not the same thing at all, but holy cow that came close to a "God Freakin' Dammit!" moment.
