More toy design rambling
So I'm trying to figure out how to fit a robot head - which also turns into the head of a large cat or other four-legged beastie - into a very flat storage space.
One method I came up with was to have the lower beast jaw separate out to the sides of the beast head when in storage.
Pros: Makes the beast head much flatter; if on ball joints then can give the robot head little horns.
Cons: Separating the lower jaw in beast mode makes the head look half like something out of _Predator_. (Or maybe Dinobot II.) Robot head-horns would perhaps not look so great if they had half a cat tongue on each of them. Could probably get away with not having a tongue, though, as it's a fairly robotic beast mode.
