We've all run across idea that taxing the rich is a bad idea because they'll move offshore.
But does anyone have the numbers? Of those rich people who choose to relocate offshore (and not all will, particularly at the merely medium-rich levels), how much tax are they paying now? How does that compare to the across-the-board increase a tax hike would bring in?
And would it really be so bad if the odd billionaire spent a little more time overseas?
