Swept the leaves from next-door's tree off the little brick pathway down one side of the house. Given that it hadn't been swept since this property went off the market, there were enough caught up in the decorative climbing greenery to form great piles of the kind you might expect to find in yards in autumn.
Into the bin for tomorrow's collection they go. Or at least a couple of armfuls. Green-waste pickup isn't for another couple of weeks, and this lot has been sitting under the burning sun for so long it's fairly useless for fertiliser anyway - it pretty much powders at a touch.
So I guess it'll be parcelled out into the regular garbage pickup on a weekly basis, depending on how much room there is in the wheelie-bin.
