Sheep and theatre

Today, everyone except me and one other guy in our little mini-team were off sick or away for other reasons. Luckily it was a little slow.

Sin City opened today locally. I guess I might get around to seeing it at some point. The reviews seem a little mixed, but generally positive.

Rant 10: sheer/shear

If you cut something, you SHEAR it. This applies to shearing sheep (cutting the wool off), garden shears, and something ripping away from something else. It's a verb or, when pluralized, a noun.

If something is absolute, extreme, steep, abrupt, vertical without a break, directly, or a transparent/translucent fabric, it is SHEER. Thus, sheer terror, a sheer cliff-face, sheering-meaning-veering, and a sheer dress. It's an adjective, a describing word.
