Early Christmas dinner with the folks and relatives last night. And today I am suffering the aftermath.
Apparently, one of the side-effects of dieting with me is that I very quickly lose the ability to hoover up vast quantities of food with no ill effects.
Consider - at dinner, I had: One plate of food, not even heaped up or anything. Then I went back for seconds, about half a plate. Then I skipped dessert. Throughout all this, I felt fine.
Twenty hours later, I still feel bloated enough that the thought of eating anything is making me shudder.
I run into this problem every so often when I decide to blow the diet for a day or even a meal. I'll eat an amount of food I would have previously considered to be a satisfying starter snack, and then reel around groaning for most of the next day.
Related Note to Self - you are no longer allowed to order or eat an entire standard-size pizza, let alone three. I don't care what you used to be able to do. Knock it off. Signed, your stomach.
