Putting on the Rich Goggles (tm) and dialling for four figures ($1000-$9999), all kinds of interesting things turn up.
* A world-class suit - Saville Row etc.
* Probably a top-notch designer dress, fur coat etc.
* Chartering a Learjet for a short hop, or a turboprop for a long haul.
* Leasing or renting a top-notch sports car, luxury coach, or luxury cabin cruiser for a shortish period.
* Paying a fair chunk of annual tertiary education fees.
* Having a house completely cleaned top to bottom and all minor repairs done.
* Annual fees for new-millionaire organisations like boat clubs.
* Home solar panel system.
* Cheapish second-hand car.
* A long budget holiday, or a short, moderately luxurious one.
* A week's rent on a nice place in central London.
* Mid-level catered party for 50 people.
* Low-cost event for you and 500 of your closest friends!
So if you could afford to blow that kind of cash on a once-off frivolous purchase (or write it off as a business expense or your employer was paying for it for whatever convoluted financial reason), what would you go for?
