Is it just me, or has the number of terrorist activities relating to aircraft been steadily declining since the 1970s, and in fact is now at the lowest point ever since the 1960s, when the first skyjacking occurred?
Or is this one of those inconvenient facts that governments don't like bandied about?
Tell me now, when was the last time terrorists (and hasn't THAT word been overused?) blew up or hijacked an aircraft?
Or here's another item: Compare all the people killed in aircraft terrorism over the past four and a half years to the total number of people who flew commercially in that some period, in the entire world. Exactly what percentage chance is there, then, of dying in any given airline trip as a result of terrorism? Somewhere around the same chance as being spontaneously struck dead by a flying left-handed turnip on a Tuesday?
